hallo, i'm aiman 👋

An aspiring software developer in the making. If I were to pick a word that embodies who I am, it would definitely be adventurous. I love trying out new things, ideas and experiences. Yes, I like the being in my comfort zone, but when I see an opportunity, I'll gladly step out of it. In the domain of software development, this has led me to explore many topics that were once foreign to me as a student, such as Cloud Computing, Microcontroller Programming, and new frameworks and technologies for WebApp development. Some of these are reflected in the choices I made in work or the projects I undertook during university or in my own time.

Outside of the world of software development and work, I strive to try out new things and participate in interesting events! Below are a few photos of me doing these things. Such as re-learning the piano (still working on perfecting Für Elise), or joining my first ever swimming competition, swimming in a Unified Team, or organizing a presentation to present the country I'm from (Malaysia) to the State of Brandenburg, which hosted Malaysia during the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin 2023.

Personally, for me, the most challenging was volunteering as a Child Companion at Einhorn gGmbH. Einhorn offers a "Familienentlastender Dienst" (Family Relief Service), where we (volunteers) would take the kids with/without disabilities out over the weekend, so that their parents can rest up. It was a completely new experience for me. It involved shifting my perspective of my current view on the world, and seeing it through the lens of these beautiful kids. Though physically and especially mentally exhausting, I learnt a lot of things hanging out with them and it was (for me) life changing. Appreciate the littlest of things. The small things that make you slightly smile, or that annoys you. Notice these things and appreciate it. Most of us are out here, grinding, working so hard up to the point where we're stuck in this constricted world we have built around ourselves. The scary part is, most of us don't realize this. So, try taking a step out of your world, and do things that bring you closer to the essence of this world, love, people and nature (also read the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom).
